Georgie Frost of Share Radio named Headlinemoney Financial Broadcast Journalist of the Year 2016
Here at the Money Fight Club dojo we’ve been cracking open the champers in honour of Georgie Frost at Share Radio.
Every Tuesday at 11am we join Georgie on her Consuming Issues programme for Share and are blown away by her grasp of tough topics and her ability to ask the real questions that consumers want answering
So we popped the laces on our gloves in delight when she was named Financial Broadcast Journalist of the Year 2016, against a highly competitive field.
The judges were “united in admiration” for her overall submission and, in particular, a clip exploring the financial and emotional impact of IVF. As one of the judges put it: “I would have found it difficult asking some of the questions that she did.”
The award was announced on Tuesday 10 May 2016 in the Great Room at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.
But what really blew us away were the kind words she had to say about us!

Georgie Frost
Georgie is a former BBC presenter and long established broadcast journalist.
She’s also a bit of a brainbox with an MA in Political Communications, Politics and Media Law at Goldsmiths and a post-graduate diploma in Broadcasting, as well as a history degree from Bristol University. Originally she wanted to be a doctor like her mother until she realised she was too squeamish.
As a result of the 2008 economic crash, she become aware of how important money matters are to everyone. Her passion for and sensitivity to the issues faced by people is key to her interview style and she is passionate about core concerns, such as financial exclusion and the need to democratise finance.
